I just announced to my Facebook tribe a new project I'm starting. It's 100 days of writing every day on this blog. Here's what I wrote, and I am so excited to dive in:

I'm starting a ‪#‎100dayproject‬ where I write every single day for 100 days in a row and post it publicly to my blog at DulmaAltan.com, and I'd love for you to join me.
Michael Bierut of the Yale School of Art famously started this project (which doesn't have to be writing -- it can be anything) with his students, and here's how he explains what it is if you're interested:http://designobserver.com/feat…/five-years-of-100-days/24678
I'm doing this project because I love writing, I want to do it for the rest of my life in some way, and I'd like to develop my skills.
It's also my way of turning around my constant fear of embarrassment, which I think is fatal to creativity.
And finally, I am fascinated by what Bierut calls "the balance between inspiration and discipline." I have an overflow of inspiration, which is the most natural high I've ever known, but I have sadly little discipline—which is what actually transforms the idea into big work.
This feels scary (which is why I have to do it): I have a lot of things to say, really enjoy saying them, but the things I most enjoy saying are the things that really expose who I am—and that feels like the height of vulnerability. But something in me feels like I just have to do this.
So join me. If you're interested, let me know so we can support each other. We can start a Facebook group. I'd also love to hear what your ‪#‎100days‬ idea would be, whether it's a daily drawing or a lyric every day or a small new cooking creation, etc. Anything is game.

So expect a lot of short 'n sweet posts over the next 3+ months. I encourage you to start a #100daysproject of your own if the thing you've always dreamed of is on the other side of fear, creativity, and discipline.
